Open Internship Position at Bosch for Marketing and Business Strategy
Do you remember our guest lecturer Markus Christian presenting insights from Bosch Mobility Solutions? There is now the chance to apply that knowledge to practice as an intern marketing and business strategy. High level of German proficiency is required. If you want to gain insights into the Chinese culture and get the first-hand experience about business and language, then the "Smart China" summer school from 2.-27. September is the right choice for you.
Our IMME master's student Hakan took the opportunity last year and describes it as an excellent experience and a good opportunity to gain knowledge about doing business in China:
"The Tongji summer school offered insights into China's trade history, future development plans and the cultural aspects of doing business. Also, we had the chance to see the world’s biggest port and attend the Shanghai Innovation Conference. Besides, the summer school offered cultural events such as dumpling preparation, painting (guóhuà), and even kung-fu lessons in addition to many different museum visits. Culture, business, and sightseeing travels were well organized. In our spare time, we had the opportunity to visit companies, fairs, and even other cities for daily trips.
The Shanghai Summer School will bring you a different perspective on doing business in China and you can see the different viewpoints of people from many European countries. I would clearly recommend this summer school: one month of school with a value of years of experience."

Visiting Students from Feevale, Brazil
Last week 11 MBA students from our partner university Feevale in Brazil visited Otto-von-Guericke University.
During their 2-day stay in Magdeburg, Professor Enke and Sarah-Alena Rössig introduced them to the German business culture and discussed how doing business differs in Brazil and Germany with a special focus on cultural challenges.
Also, they gave a workshop on user-centered innovation and presented some recent innovation techniques, which are taught at the university.
The students completed their visit in Magdeburg with a tour to one of the university's MakerLabs and a joint dinner at Ratskeller with the chair of International Management and our guest professor Vincent Ogutu.
We hope you enjoyed your visit as much as we did. We are looking forward to the next years!
